The ADA Forsyth Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Somerville, MA. The position supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days onsite.

Ideal candidates will have an accounting degree, 2–3 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent Excel skills.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3 years accounting experience including journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and month-end closing.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• General Accounting and Financial Reporting: journal entries, reconciliations, allocate expenses, assist with month-end/year-end closing, GAAP compliance.
• Accounts Payable: process invoices, approvals, vendor records, 1099s preparation.
• Accounts Receivable: issue invoices, apply cash receipts, monitor receivables, reconcile GL.
• Additional Responsibilities: assist with audits, improve processes, support internal controls and special projects.
