Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Finance department in New York. The role focuses on preparing monthly journal entries for all Revenue and Expenses and ensuring efficient external support for these entries. You will also analyze P&L monthly and provide explanations to leadership.

The position is hybrid, with an office at 100 Church Street, NYC, three days per week (Tue/Wed/Thu). A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and strong Excel skills are required, plus experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas.
• Experience analyzing large data sets.
• Experience in financial reconciliation to general ledger.
• Experience managing cross-department projects.
• Familiarity with Workday, Microsoft Dynamics or PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries for Revenue and Expenses.
• Ensure accurate and efficient external support for journal entries.
• Analyze and explain P&L Monthly performance.
• Reconcile accounts monthly with Finance teams for audit readiness.
• Record monthly revenue and expense journal entries per month-end close calendar.
