Job summary

Digital Turbine in Durham, NC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support monthly close, ensure ledger integrity, and drive process improvements in a hybrid work setting.

You will own reconciliations, prepare analytics, and collaborate across GL, Finance, and Operations to streamline the close and aid audit readiness under US GAAP and SOX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and General Ledger (GL) functions in a corporate setting
• Hands-on experience performing account reconciliations and participating in month-end close cycles
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control concepts
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with ability to analyze large datasets
• Exceptional accuracy and proactive analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate in a global, team-oriented hybrid environment
• Familiarity with AI tools to automate routine tasks is a plus
• Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus

Responsibilities

• Extract, analyze, and manipulate data to propose accurate GL journal entries
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring ledger integrity
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close tasks across regions
• Prepare variance explanations, analytics, and financial metrics for management
• Document and improve accounting workflows and internal controls
• Coordinate with GL Accounting, Finance, and Operations to streamline the close
• Assist external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and strategic projects
