Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, headquartered in Atlanta, is seeking a Staff Accountant to help maintain financial integrity and support reporting in a fast-paced environment. This role offers hybrid flexibility and exposure to multiple accounting functions while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 2+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/ERP skills, with CPA licensure pursued or in progress. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting multiple business units or entities is preferred.
• History of job stability required.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly accounting activities, including account analysis, reconciliations, and adjusting entries.
• Manage and monitor general ledger transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with invoicing, vendor payments, and cross company transactions.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and investigate fluctuations and trends.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external review processes.
• Recommend and contribute to enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall accounting operations.
