Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with a well-established organization in the Fairfax, VA area to hire a Staff Accountant. This hybrid role supports day-to-day accounting, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.

You’ll gain foundational experience in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a readiness to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and organizational skills.
• Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Unanet, Costpoint preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and GL support
• Support month-end close and reporting activities; maintain audit schedules
• Help improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy
• Support ad hoc accounting projects
