Job summary

SMBC is seeking a seasoned SQL Server DBA Engineer for our Charlotte, NC office. You will administer SQL Server environments across on‑prem, Azure, and AWS, with emphasis on HA/DR, security, and automation.

The role requires strong PowerShell skills and experience with SSRS/SSIS/SSAS, Power BI, and cloud migrations. You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams, participate in DR testing, and support trading-related data needs in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide expert administration for SQL Server 2019/2022/2025 across on-prem, Azure, and AWS.
• Implement and maintain HA/DR solutions using Always On and related technologies.
• Manage backups, recoveries, failover testing, and business continuity.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and operational reports for health and metrics.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell and Ansible for provisioning, patching, and monitoring.
