Job summary

SMBC is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their Cloud data solutions team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy solutions for risk and compliance projects, while also mentoring junior team members. Candidates should have substantial experience in cloud solutions, particularly with Azure.

The position also allows for a hybrid work model, enabling flexibility to work from home and from the office, given compliance with certain requirements for specific roles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise applications.
• Experience in financial services and data-heavy systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud data solutions.
• Mentor and lead junior team members.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Coordinate with IT teams and architects for integration.
• Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines.
