Job summary

Merchants Insurance Group is seeking a SQL Developer to join the IT team in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on SQL development, ETL/data integration, and supporting an internal SharePoint app written in C#. The position blends in-office collaboration with flexible remote work.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of SQL development experience, strong T-SQL, and familiarity with the Microsoft ETL stack (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS) or similar tools. A CS degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• 2-3 years' SQL development experience with ETL.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred but not required.
• Experience with C# to support SharePoint application.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in MS SQL Server.
• Support and maintain internal SharePoint app written in C#; fix bugs and implement enhancements.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration and BI solutions (SSIS/SSAS).
• Meet timelines and escalate blockers to management.
• Unit and system test changes to ensure specifications.
• Provide after-hours support as needed and follow change management.
