Job summary

Merchants Insurance Group is seeking a SQL Developer to join the Information Technology team in Buffalo, New York. The role focuses on SQL development and ETL/data integration for MS SQL Server databases and Merchants Insight BI platform, with C# support for an internal SharePoint application.

The candidate should have 2-3 years of SQL development experience, familiarity with ETL stacks (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS/Power BI), and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science required.
• 2-3 years’ experience in SQL development and hands-on experience with ETL platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in MS SQL Server under guidance of senior developers.
• Support and maintain an internal SharePoint application written in C#, including bug fixes and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and BI solutions (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS/Power BI preferred).
• Meet timelines for deliverables and escalate roadblocks to management for resolution.
• Perform unit and system testing of changes to ensure compliance with specifications.
