UC San Diego is seeking a Sponsored Research Administrator 2 in the Pediatrics department on a hybrid schedule (onsite and remote) with a 100% appointment. The role oversees financial analysis and fiscal management for multiple divisions, coordinating federal, state, and private sponsors.

The position requires strong regulatory knowledge, high-volume transaction handling, and advanced reporting capabilities to support a multi-divisional research portfolio valued in the tens of millions.

Qualifikationen

• Six years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two years of related experience/training.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements related to use of human or animal subjects in research, financial conflict of interest, biosafety, etc.
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
• Ability to perform moderately complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
• Demonstrated competence in the use of spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
• Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization; communication skills; and a customer service focus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting, fiscal and reporting principles.

Aufgaben

• Provide comprehensive financial analysis and complex fiscal management for both pre- and post-award sponsored projects for multiple divisions.
• Develop new procedures and/or revise existing procedures to meet changing needs and create intricate internal reporting systems and tools for forecasting.
• Develop and oversee research proposals, awards and transactions related to contracts and grants and maintain records in compliance with policies.
• Work with multiple PI's and funding sources (federal, state, private grants, contracts, etc.) and coordinate with central offices.
• Independently identify problems, gather data, analyze, and recommend solutions; may have delegated signature authority.
