Job summary

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois is seeking a Special Events and McDonald’s Coordinator to join our Development team in Springfield, IL (or Peoria, IL). You will manage fundraising events and in-store McDonald’s campaigns, working closely with the Development Director and Marketing team to drive donor engagement.

The role entails planning, coordinating volunteers, maintaining donor records, and delivering engagement activities that support RMHCCI’s mission to keep families

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in event planning, community relations or people engagement roles
• Polished verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Proficiency with MS Office, donor databases and event software

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, steward, and solicit donors in RMHCCI’s service area
• Develop and implement a strategy to increase funding from individuals, corporations, and events
• Maintain event contacts, reconcile income/expenses, and provide financial details for third party events
• Plan, organize, and execute key components of fundraising events (registration, venue, catering, decor, revenue opportunities)
• Work within budget for each event
• Utilize Raiser's Edge and Greater Giving to input donor data and event information
• Maintain positive relationships with McDonald’s managers and crews
• Coordinate volunteers and committees to ensure event success
• Present at public engagements and conduct tours as needed
