Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Engineering Economics & Cost Analytics Lead Engineer to join a diverse, innovative team of cost, schedule, and operations research professionals. You will lead cost engineering efforts, perform economic analyses, and provide independent, data-driven advisory support to government customers and program offices.

This full-time role offers a hybrid work model with onsite requirements at El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA, and opportunities to advance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, or related field with 12+ years of cost engineering/economic analysis experience.
Experience leading technical teams and major cost engineering efforts.
Experience applying cost engineering/economic analysis to space, ground, launch, or related systems.
Experience supporting program planning, investment decisions, pricing, proposals, and business-case development.

Responsibilities

Serve as Capability Area Lead for Cost Engineering within EEMS, providing technical leadership and stewardship.
Lead cost engineering and economic analyses, including LCCEs, IGCEs, affordability; conduct related studies and evaluations.
Translate complex analyses into actionable insights for government customers and program offices.
Advance methodologies, models, tools, data practices, standards, and peer-review processes.
Mentor staff and foster technical excellence and knowledge transfer.
