Job summary

Medical Mutual is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to drive savings and optimize supplier agreements. The role focuses on RFQ/RFI/RFP processes, price/contract negotiations, and partnering with business units to improve spend management.

It requires a Bachelor’s in Business with supply chain focus (or equivalent) and 2–5+ years in sourcing. The position is onsite at the Brooklyn, OH headquarters with a strong benefits package including 401(k), HSA, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with Supply Chain focus (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 years to 5 years+ sourcing experience
• Demonstrated success in achieving quantifiable savings through strategic sourcing methods
• Proven track-record leading cross-functional teams through sourcing strategy development and supplier negotiations
• Proficiency in Oracle iProcurement, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Manages sourcing events (RFQ, RFI, RFP, or direct negotiation), supplier selection, and price/contract negotiation
• Manages Business Unit relationships to ensure collaboration with spend management initiatives
• Conducts market analyses and benchmarking to refine opportunities across regional and local supply markets
• Develops articulation of sourcing strategies, business requirements, and service levels; recommends supplier communications and planning
• Performs other duties as assigned
