Job summary

Stella Contracting, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Solution Architect to lead design of scalable, secure technology solutions in a hybrid, 12-month renewable contract.

You will translate business needs into practical architectures and partner with engineering, cloud, security, and data teams to deliver impactful outcomes. The role requires 5+ years in solution or systems architecture, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), and strong communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or related fields.
• Experience designing and implementing complex technology solutions.
• Understanding of enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and modern software architectures.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Strong cybersecurity, identity and data protection knowledge.
• Experience creating architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to balance business priorities with long-term architecture strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology solutions aligned with business objectives, standards, security, and scalability.
• Translate requirements into clear architectures and designs.
• Evaluate applications, platforms, infrastructure, integrations, APIs, and databases.
• Develop architecture diagrams, specifications, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with software engineering, cloud, security, infra, data, and project teams.
• Assess current environments and identify modernization, automation, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend based on value, feasibility, security, and sustainability.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.
• Participate in architecture reviews, governance, vendor evaluations, and technology selection.
• Ensure solutions meet security, reliability, performance, and compliance expectations.
• Provide technical leadership throughout implementation and delivery.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
