Job summary

Guardian Life seeks a Solution Architect to own and shape technical solutions across value-streams, ensuring alignment with Guardian standards and security. The role combines hands-on delivery with collaboration across Product Owners, Tech Leads, and EA teams to translate business needs into scalable, resilient technology.

Working within a federated EA model, you will lead architecture decisions, document designs, and drive delivery enablement while mentoring engineers to improve design quality

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, and modern app architectures.
• Experience in Agile/product-based delivery models.
• Designing hybrid architectures (on-premise and public cloud).
• Proven track record in insurance-domain solutions.
• Good understanding of GenAI frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, risk, and long-term sustainability.
• Strong communication skills to translate tech to business stakeholders.
• Experience producing product- and team-level technical design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own product/team-level solution design and delivery architecture.
• Design and document solution architectures, including application, integration, data, and infrastructure components.
• Partner with Product Owners and Tech Leads to align roadmaps and trade-offs.
• Ensure solutions follow Guardian architecture standards and security requirements.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and platform teams to reuse enterprise capabilities.
• Mentor engineers on architecture principles and problem-solving techniques.
