Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking an Analyst/Associate for the Software and Services M&A team in the US, with offices in New York and Chicago. You will support clients across advisory, capital raising and principal transactions, contributing to deal execution and identifying new business opportunities.

The role requires 1–4 years of investment banking experience in relevant sectors and a finance/quant focus. The position offers hybrid/flexible working arrangements and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in investment banking (Software, Business Services or Technology, Media, Telecom M&A experience preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or mathematics.
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications and financial modelling.
• An understanding of financial statements, accounting, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in meeting their financial and strategic needs across advisory, capital raising and principal transactions.
• Participate in full execution of advisory, capital raising and principal transactions.
• Pursue new business opportunities and service existing portfolio investments including debt and equity.
