Job summary
Draeger Medical Systems, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer II for a hybrid role in Andover, MA. You will contribute to product software architecture, design, implementation, and testing, while improving development efficiency, quality, and cost.
The position requires 3 days/week in-office and adherence to SOPs and FDA regulations. You will work with engineers, testers, and other specialists to deliver high-quality software; participate in design reviews and support lifecycle phases from
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or relevant work experience
- MS preferred in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- 2-5 years of hands-on software design, analysis, and troubleshooting in an engineering environment
- Ability to provide code and design feedback and communicate internally
- Proficiency in C/C++ development
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux/UNIX/Linux environments or systems programming
- Qt software development framework experience (or GUI experience)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test and debug product software architecture and modules
- Follow SOPs and FDA/industry regulations
- Use configuration management to maintain software files and build/install software
- Support engineers and testers by executing tests and documenting defects
- Take direction from senior staff and seek feedback to improve
- Provide feedback during code and design reviews
