Job summary

Austin, TX-based Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Software Developer to design, implement and manage software programs. You will test and evaluate new modules and collaborate with UX designers, business and systems analysts to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that meet user needs and security standards.

The role requires 4-7 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of Angular, C#, ASP.NET and Oracle Database, and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Designs, codes and modifies complex programs using Angular, C#, ASP.NET and Oracle Database.
• Performs testing, generates test data and debugs errors to ensure quality.
• Works with trainers, support staff, network specialists and contractors on system updates or new implementations.
• Analyzes requirements for new applications and enhancements in the division.
• Communicates and coordinates with the software development team and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, code and modify complex programs and scripts with Angular, C#, ASP.NET and Oracle.
• Test data generation, script writing, and debugging to ensure function and quality.
• Collaborate with trainers, support staff, and network specialists on updates or new systems.
• Analyze requirements for new applications and enhancements to be implemented.
• Coordinate development efforts and provide status updates to team leader/PM.
