Job summary

NISC in Missouri is seeking Summer 2027 interns to join our Application Development Division for hands-on software development experience. You will work with software developers and QA to support maintenance and enhancements of our enterprise solutions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a CS degree with knowledge of Java/JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and databases; able to work in a hybrid setting, and ready to learn Confluence and iVUE tools across our Cedar Rapids and Lake Saint Louis offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pursuing CS degree.
• Familiar with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and web technologies.
• Knowledge of databases and cloud concepts helpful.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic research, design and development of software systems.
• Researches, analyzes, and resolves basic software maintenance.
• Assists in the enhancement and/or maintenance of application programs.
• Follows established software development methodologies and procedures.
• Performs quality testing on unit and integration tasks.
• Reviews and prioritizes change requests and uses Confluence/iVUE.
