Job summary

NISC is offering a Summer 2027 internship focused on software analysis for our Financials Software product. You will support business requirements analysis, design processes, and documentation while collaborating with analysts, developers, QA, and SMEs.

The role provides exposure to databases, data structures, and cross-functional teams in an enterprise software environment. Hybrid work with a Mandan, ND office location and a minimum 3 days in-office per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency is required.
• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with researching and documenting software functionality and business requirements.
• Support analysts and development teams in evaluating enhancements and change requests.
• Create and maintain functional diagrams and workflow docs.
• Collaborate with teams to understand software design specs and database structures.
• Participate in design reviews and SDLC processes.
• Assist with QA testing, including unit and integration tests.
• Document and maintain information in Confluence and iVUE Support tool.
