Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with emphasis in a discipline related to assignments (i.e., mechanical, civil or electrical).
• Job-related experience, 2 years.
• Travel required; frequency depends on assignment (10%).
• Masters degree or equivalent experience.
• PE-Professional Engineer license.
• Basic knowledge in engineering research and testing concepts, theories, practices, methods, techniques.
• Basic investigative skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good customer service orientation.
• Understanding of quality assurance and control concepts and practices.
• Good organizational and analytical problem solving skills.
• Collaboration and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Interpret Smart Meter data and predictive alerts to identify potential transformer defects and overhead/underground electrical line issues, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for field operations and asset management teams.
• Analyze historical defect data, inspection records, and operational datasets to help improve predictive model accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with field operations, Protection & Control, and engineering teams to investigate and validate machine learning-driven predictions and findings.
• Conduct thorough investigations of identified anomalies and potential equipment issues to support appropriate follow-up actions.
• Collaborates with peers to prepare technical reports and specifications and to identify, define, and solve problems.
• Participates in identifying innovations and cost-reduction potential of new and existing technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
