Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is seeking an experienced ATS Engineer in California to develop technical strategies for data center and grid integration. The role focuses on evaluating impacts of data center loads on transmission and distribution systems and leading R&D initiatives across diverse disciplines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a related discipline.
At least 7 years of related engineering experience.
Master's degree and PE are preferred.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Project management and team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Develops technical strategies for integration of data centers, DER, microgrids, flexible loads, and load-management technologies.
Evaluates impacts of emerging data center loads on transmission and distribution systems.
Leads R&D initiatives focused on data center integration with the electric grid.
Mentor and direct a team of engineers and engineering technicians.
Oversees scope, schedule, budget and client bid proposals at project and program levels.
