Job summary

The Small Business Credit Analyst at First National Bank of Omaha will perform independent credit analysis of small business loan requests (CRE, C&I, and Agribusiness) and prepare loan memos, risk rating, and financial analysis, helping determine creditworthiness and maintaining customer relationships.

This hybrid role requires applying underwriting standards, leveraging mainframe, nCino, Credit Assessment, and MS Office, while delivering compliant, timely service to internal and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• General understanding of financial statements, lending policies, procedures, practices, and documentation including cash flow and collateral analysis.
• Ability to adapt and manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience in credit analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loan memos for new credit requests, renewals and reviews.
• Spread and analyze financial information for borrowers and guarantors.
• Conduct guarantor analysis using credit reports and tax returns.
• Perform collateral analysis including loan-to-value calculations.
• Determine risk rating using the bank's risk matrix and documented verbiage.
• Process requests to meet service levels and compliance requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service during the underwriting process.
• Maintain complete and accurate file documentation.
