Job summary

First National Bank is seeking a Small Business Credit Analyst to perform independent credit analysis of small business loan requests across CRE, C&I, and Agribusiness. You will evaluate financial statements, cash flow, and collateral, and prepare loan memos and risk ratings.

The role includes underwriting, compliance with policies, and delivering excellent customer service. You will work in a hybrid environment balancing in-person collaboration three days a week with remote flexibility two days

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, lending policies, procedures, and documentation including cash flow and collateral analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely loan presentation packets (credit memos) for new credit requests, loan renewals and annual reviews.
• Spread and analyze financial information for borrowers, guarantors and related entities.
• Conduct guarantor analysis including credit bureau reports, personal financial statements, and tax returns; analyze cash flow.
• Perform collateral analysis including margin/loan-to-value calculations.
• Determine risk rating for credits using the bank's risk rating matrix and support with appropriate verbiage.
• Ensure compliance with loan policy and BSA/AML program; complete required compliance training.
• Provide exceptional customer service to staff, customers, and related parties; assist with underwriting questions.
• Maintain complete and accurate file documentation.
