Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill in Maine is seeking an experienced Site Development Project Manager to join our Civil team. This role leads site/civil engineering projects from concept through permitting and construction support for diverse clients, including public and private sectors.

Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering background, 8+ years of experience, and strong project management skills. Hybrid work is offered, with emphasis on collaboration with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required or preferred.
• 8+ years of site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills.
• Project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight.
• Maine PE license preferred.
• Experience with local/state permitting requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; HydroCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage site/civil engineering projects from scoping through design, permitting, and construction support.
• Develop project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
• Mentor staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in land development, stormwater, and climate/flood resiliency.
• Prepare and review site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details.
• Design stormwater management systems.
• Coordinate with municipal staff and attend public meetings.
• Participate in field meetings and site visits.
• Assist with report preparation and permit applications.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
