Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill seeks an experienced Site Development Project Manager to join our Civil team in Manchester, NH. Lead site and civil projects from concept through permitting and construction support, collaborating with public and private clients.

This hybrid role requires 8+ years of site design experience, NH PE license preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with strong communication to manage schedules, budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (preferred).
  • 8+ years of site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills.
  • Project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight.
  • New Hampshire Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
  • Experience with local and state permitting requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel to client sites and attendance at town/city public meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support.
  • Developing project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in land development, stormwater management, and climate/flood resiliency.
  • Preparing and reviewing site designs, including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details.
  • Designing stormwater management systems.
  • Coordinating with municipal staff and attending town/city public meetings.
  • Participating in field meetings and site visits.
  • Assisting with report preparation and local/state permit applications.
  • Supporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Site Development Project Manager to join our growing Civil team. This newly created position supports increasing project demand and expands our project management capacity across a range of site and civil engineering projects for public and private clients, including multi‑family housing, higher‑education and K‑12 facilities, commercial, industrial, brownfield redevelopment, municipal parks and recreation, stormwater retrofit, and mixed‑use developments.

As a licensed civil engineer with strong site design experience, you will lead projects from concept through permitting and construction support, overseeing technical design, managing schedules and budgets, mentoring staff, and working directly with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to deliver high‑quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good‑faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
