Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience in a Financial Services Operations environment. Treasury Operations preferred.
• Aptitude to learn and understand financial concepts for a wide variety of products.
• Effective communication skills to interact with External Bank Clients and Internal Line of Business Partners.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and prioritize work for the team.
• Ability to work with all levels of internal/external clients remaining professional and knowledgeable while protecting KeyBank's monetary risks and confidentiality.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
• Work effectively in an everchanging environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand processes and be the subject matter expert of the team, partner with Department Manager for larger projects, resolving complex issues, or conducting research.
• Strong knowledge of Bond accounting and be able to perform detailed accounting recons to accurately research and resolve outages or predict accounting entries for new products/ portfolios.
• Lead and drive changes within the team to drive efficiencies.
• Learn and perform all functions within the team to provide backup support in times of staff absences or increased volumes to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of work is performed.
• Properly prepares department regularly managerial, and financial reports within required Service Level Agreement.
• Establish strong relationships with Line of Business Partners to effectively resolve client issues and drive cross functional initiatives to completion.
• Lead and participate in Department projects.
• Work independently with technology support partners to define, test, and implement bug fixes and smaller scale system enhancements.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Strong knowledge in Trade and wire systems including but not limited to Lightning and Dovetail.
• Review and maintain department procedures.
• High level of detail in daily functions including the ability to recognize, identify, and process transactions in our systems correctly.
