Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary transmission and distribution projects on a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence three days per week at the Lake Mary office.

The role involves coordinating with internal and external departments to manage project execution, ownership of safety, schedule, budget, and client experience through the full lifecycle, while mentoring team members and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or management/business.
• 20+ years in the electric utility industry (engineering, construction, planning, etc.).
• PE License or equivalent licensure.
• 7+ years of experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission projects.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of multiple transmission and distribution projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments to manage project life cycle.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience.
• Lead and mentor the project team to ensure accountability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client leads and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule, budget and dashboards.
• Identify and control construction risk and change.
• Communicate with stakeholders and supervisors.
• Prepare clear project reports meeting client requirements.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
