Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Senior Engineer/PM to lead a team of engineers and technicians on traffic engineering projects in a hybrid work setting. You will participate in analysis, design and implementation of traffic impact studies, signal design, timing, signing, striping, and traffic control plans.

The role requires strong written and oral communication, familiarity with Synchro, HCS, ArcGIS, VISSIM, and TransCad, and knowledge of local rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering (transportation emphasis preferred)
• Texas P.E. required
• PTOE preferred
• 6-8 years industry experience
• Good working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro, HCS, ArcGIS, VISSIM, TransCad)
• Knowledge of state and local rules, regulations, standards, and procedures a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in analysis, design and implementation of traffic engineering projects such as traffic impact studies
• Conduct traffic operations studies and capacity analysis
• Design traffic signals, signal timing, signing, striping, lighting and traffic control plans
