Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Traffic Engineer to design and deliver traffic engineering projects in a team environment. You will assist in analyses, studies, capacity calculations, signal design, timing, signing, striping, lighting, and traffic control plans, collaborating with engineers and technicians.

The role requires strong communication skills and experience with traffic analysis software; familiarity with local rules is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering (transportation emphasis preferred).
• Applicable PE license required, or ability to obtain PE within 6 months.
• 3-7 years industry experience.
• Good working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro, HCS, ArcGIS, VISSIM, TransCad).
• Knowledge of State and local rules, regulations, standards, and procedures a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of traffic engineering projects.
• Contribute to traffic impact studies and traffic operations studies.
• Perform capacity analyses, traffic signal design, signal timing, signing, striping, lighting, and traffic control plans.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians.
• Demonstrate excellent client service and proactive technical contributions.
