Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer to join the Traffic & ITS Team across New York City, Albany, Parsippany, Syracuse, or Buffalo. You will lead complex transportation analyses, mentor staff, and shape project delivery with a focus on safer, more efficient mobility.

The role offers hybrid work options and collaborative client engagement. The candidate will bring a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong skills in SYNCHRO, HCS, VISSIM, and modeling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• PE license required; PTOE preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive traffic engineering experience required.
• Experience in transportation planning, design, and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical lead for complex transportation engineering assignments.
• Perform and oversee advanced traffic engineering analyses, including studies and modeling.
• Lead large-scale transportation studies and redevelopment efforts, coordinating with teams and agencies.
• Support airport roadway and corridor analyses, and network-level evaluations.
• Guide and mentor junior staff with QA/QC oversight.
• Support proposal development and client discussions with stakeholders.
