Job summary

Humana Inc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, modernization, and optimization of HIT solutions supporting eHub and related business teams. You will drive automation, AI-enabled productivity, and scalable integrations, while ensuring secure engineering and regulatory compliance.

The role combines hands-on software and integration engineering with technical leadership, contributing to reliability, performance, and provider experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering or systems engineering experience.
• Experience with .NET frameworks and SQL databases.
• Experience with Azure or another cloud platform for development, deployment, or operations.
• Experience with application integration, batch processing, and large-scale transactional systems.
• Experience with secure engineering practices and enterprise technology standards.
• Experience analyzing technical issues, root causes, and implementing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, enhance, and support scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Lead technical delivery of moderately complex to complex initiatives and influence solution design.
• Analyze recurring system issues and performance bottlenecks to implement sustainable improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and data processing issues with internal and external partners.
• Support system stability, performance, and availability through monitoring, RCA, and corrective action.
