Job summary

The Senior Real Estate Project Manager will develop, design and implement complex real estate development projects. You will lead and collaborate on cross-functional teams for the planning and implementation of initiatives providing facility solutions to company growth and change.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the Lake Forest, IL headquarters. You Will: Manage coordination of architectural and engineering disciplines, budgeting, scheduling, bidding, purchasing and

Qualifications

• 5+ years Project Manager with direct experience working with General Contractors and Architects (commercial or industrial) required.
• Travel up to 25% for the position to Grainger facilities.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to read/interpret construction plans.
• Experience with site planning, environmental assessment, zoning and due diligence.
• Construction management experience including prep/administration of documents and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage coordination of architectural and engineering disciplines with estimating, budgeting, scheduling, bidding and value engineering.
• Interface with architects, engineers, contractors and others for design and construction.
• Use company systems for cost estimates, budgets, schedule, change orders and progress reports.
• Develop project requirements and specifications with cross functional teams to achieve business goals.
• Balance 5-10 large-scale projects and deliver within scope and budget.
• Communicate project updates to all levels of the organization.
• Oversee construction of major facilities including distribution centers, warehouses, showrooms, and offices.
