Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S., developing schedule and cost baselines, collecting data, and performing variance analysis. The role requires managing risk reserves and communicating with stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and government regulations.

You will collaborate with project teams to develop planning considerations, optimize resource use, and maintain accurate forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts and validates project costs.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for projects and communicates findings to management.
• Performs financial analyses including variance, risk and profit/loss analyses.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
• Provides technical guidance and mentors junior staff.
