Job summary

Telligen is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our Scrum team in West Des Moines. You will own system components from concept to deployment, mentor other developers, and raise the technical bar while collaborating with Product Owners and end users.

You will work in an in-office setting at least 3 days per week and contribute to design, coding, testing, and continuous improvement efforts in a dynamic health analytics environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
• 3–5 years of experience in programming/software development
• Experience with Agile environment and direct client or end-user interaction
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java and JavaScript
• Experience with relational database design, modeling, and administration
• Track record of mentoring or leading junior developers
• In-office in West Des Moines, 3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Lead Analysis and System Design: perform needs analysis, design and develop components of large systems, translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Build, Code, and Collaborate: design and code applications, own testing, conduct thorough code reviews, collaborate with Product Owners and end users
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: keep up with industry trends, prototype new tools including AI, recommend technology improvements
• Mentor and Lead: participate in planning and evaluation, provide technical direction to junior developers, raise development standards
