Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to join the Nuclear Power group. The role supports design and analysis of piping systems per ASME B31.1, B31.7, and related codes, with senior-level input on complex calculations and drawings.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes
• ABET-accredited program (implied)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex calculations.
• Review and develop piping system designs, including simple to complex.
• Prepare design input for drawings (P&IDs, Master Diagrams) and review input.
• Prepare equipment and material specifications.
• Prepare bid evaluations and economic calculations.
• Monitor budgets and schedules for project work.
