Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Senior Paralegal - Patent Litigation to support attorneys in patent matters across the firm’s offices. You will draft legal documents, coordinate with clients, outside counsel, and vendors, and prepare for trials and appeals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will manage complex document databases, utilize Relativity for eDiscovery, mentor junior paralegals, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on details and process

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certificate.
• Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• 5 years of Paralegal experience in patent litigation.

Responsibilities

• Support in all phases of patent litigation including discovery, trial, and appeal, with lead paralegal duties at trials and hearings.
• Assist with depositions, witness interviews, hearings, trials, and arbitration, including pretrial motions and trial materials.
• Review, organize, and maintain document databases for case tracking and discovery; coordinate large document productions.
• Utilize Relativity and other litigation tech to aid reviews, productions, and privilege logs.
• Support patent litigation, appeals, and ITC/ PTAB proceedings.
