Job summary

FEDITC, LLC. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the Homeland Security Enterprise Network (HSEN) with a focus on monitoring and observability. The role is hybrid, with most work remote but periodic onsite at DHS offices within ~50 miles.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and have EOD eligibility; a security background check is required. The engineer will design, implement, and operate monitoring platforms, integrate tools, and mentor junior staff in a complex hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering, monitoring, or observability.
• 3–5+ years hands-on with enterprise monitoring platforms such as ScienceLogic, NetScout, or VOSS.
• Experience with Linux/Windows and network protocols (TCP/IP, ICMP).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise network monitoring and observability platforms.
• Integrate monitoring tools with network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes.
• Develop automation workflows with Ansible and Python to support onboarding.
• Configure event management, alerting, and correlation to reduce noise.
• Troubleshoot monitoring and performance issues across network and servers.
• Collaborate with vendors and teams to ensure coverage; mentor junior engineers.
