Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a MuleSoft Tech Lead to design, build, and maintain enterprise integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The role involves API-led connectivity, data transformations, and secure, scalable integrations across critical services. Hybrid work with two in-office days per week in San Francisco is offered.

Leadership duties include architecture, code reviews, and mentoring engineers. Candidate will have 10–13 years in enterprise integration, hands-on MuleSoft and API Manager

Qualifications

• 10–13 years of enterprise integration experience.
• Strong hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform expertise.
• Deep experience with API Manager and end-to-end API lifecycle management.
• Experience with AWS Kiro or similar engineering tools.
• Knowledge of API and integration security practices.
• Experience delivering resilient integrations with monitoring and incident response.
• Utilities domain experience with outage management.
• MuleSoft Certification or equivalent certification and strong stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of secure, scalable MuleSoft integrations using MuleSoft and AWS Kiro.
• Drive end-to-end API lifecycle through API Manager and MuleSoft capabilities.
• Define reusable API-led integration patterns and security standards.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for architecture, development, troubleshooting, reviews, testing and QA.
• Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, monitoring, and alerting controls.
• Optimize performance and resilience of integrations for outage workflows.
• Collaborate with product owners, analytics, utilities SMEs, infra and cloud teams.
• Maintain architecture docs, mapping specifications, and runbooks; mentor engineers.
