Job summary

Cognizant seeks a MuleSoft Tech Lead to design, build, and maintain integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and AWS Kiro for critical services. This hybrid role requires 2 days per week in a Cognizant/San Francisco office.

Ideal candidates have 10–13 years of enterprise integration experience, deep MuleSoft expertise, strong API lifecycle management skills, and the ability to lead technical teams while aligning with enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• 10–13 years of enterprise integration experience and technical leadership.
• Hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform expertise incl. API-led connectivity, DataWeave, deployment, troubleshooting.
• Deep experience with API Manager and end-to-end API lifecycle management.
• Experience with AWS Kiro or similar AI-assisted tooling for design/code/docs.
• Strong knowledge of API/integration security, authentication, encryption, and compliance controls.
• Experience delivering resilient integration services with logging, monitoring, and incident response.
• Utilities domain experience, especially outage management or service-status workflows.
• MuleSoft Certification or equivalent enterprise integration certification with hybrid-delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of secure, scalable MuleSoft integrations.
• Drive end-to-end API lifecycle management and governance.
• Define reusable API-led integration patterns and security standards.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across MuleSoft and AWS components.
• Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
