Job summary

Aescape, a New York-based physical AI and robotics company, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own manufacturing engineering, develop high-yield processes, and drive their implementation with contract manufacturers.

Based in NYC Chelsea, the role is hybrid, three days in the office. You’ll lead PFMEA, process documentation, first article validation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in hardware robotics or electronics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop repeatable, high-yield manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Set up and ramp production lines with suppliers and optimize layout.
• Participate in DFx for new products to ensure manufacturability.
• Support assembly and build; develop work instructions and fixtures.
• Define-and-deploy PFMEA and Control Plans with suppliers.
• Maintain process documentation and dashboards; track issues to closure.
• Lead root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Support reliability and manufacturing test programs; assist data collection.
