Job summary

Target is seeking a Sr Manager, Inventory Accounting in Minnesota to provide strategic direction and leadership over the Import, Freight and Purchases Accounting Team. You will ensure effective processes and controls for timely, accurate financial statements across domestic and import activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years leadership in accounting/finance or business ops.
• Strong accounting knowledge to translate operations into financial results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory accounting for domestic and import receipts and related costs.
• Manage freight, duties/tariffs, royalties, and timing-related inventory accruals.
• Ensure SOX controls and month-end close are accurate and timely.
• Collaborate with Global Trade, Risk & Controls, and Supply Chain Finance to translate operations into financial statements.
