Advance Auto Parts, Inc. seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst, Inventory to provide decision support through data analysis, forecasting and cost insights at our Raleigh HQ.

Hybrid work arrangement: 4 days in office, 1 day remote, supporting in-flight inventory and assortment projects to improve turns and profitability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Economics/Finance/Business and 3–5 years of financial analysis, with strong Excel, AS/400 and PeopleSoft skills for communicating with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret general business information and data.
• Experience with financial and business analysis in retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidelines for standard cost approaches and monitor cost reduction programs.
• Conduct root/cause analysis and translate results into business insights.
• Advise senior management on cost determination, inventory valuation, and pricing issues.
• Conduct studies on make vs buy and cost impact of facilities or processes.
• Identify issues and propose data-driven approaches for projects.
• Develop long-range financial forecasts and budgets with scenario analysis.
• Provide fact-based financial analysis and ad-hoc support for investments.
• Present economic trends and industry information to stakeholders.
• Partner with internal teams to implement performance rhythms.
• Contribute to test design to validate investment decisions.
• Provide external market and competitor financial information.
• Stay informed on finance, economics and industry developments.
