Job summary

Five Below in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist, Merchant & Vendor Management, Inbound Logistics. You will coordinate inbound merchandise from domestic vendors to distribution centers, ensuring on-time delivery and the lowest landed cost while aligning Merchandising, Vendors, Transportation, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business, or equivalent
• 5–8+ years of experience in domestic transportation or logistics operations
• Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic freight modes and carrier operations
• Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Strong analytical skills to interpret freight data and KPIs
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management
• Proficient in Manhattan TMS and related software
• Negotiation skills for contracts with carriers and service providers
• Microsoft Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Merchant Partnership & Inventory Flow Management: act as the primary transportation contact for Merchandising categories and collaborate with teams to align inventory needs and launch timelines.
• Vendor Relationship Management: build vendor relationships, educate on programs, monitor shipping performance, and conduct business reviews.
• Inbound Transportation Coordination: manage inbound freight from vendors to distribution centers; schedule, tender, load build, and track shipments.
• Vendor Compliance Management: maintain routing standards, analyze chargebacks, and reduce violations with vendors.
• Data Analysis & Performance Reporting: monitor metrics, develop scorecards, analyze costs and opportunities for improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with DC Ops, Transportation, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Finance, Procurement, IT.
• Continuous Improvement: drive automation, SOPs, and best practices; lead projects to improve visibility and costs.
• Leadership: act as SME for inbound transportation and present performance to leadership; drive accountability.
