Job summary

Recurly is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build our marketing and customer engagement platform using Ruby on Rails and Vue.js. You will own data-driven features and backend services powering real-time personalization, campaign delivery, and transaction support.

You will lead end-to-end feature ownership, mentor teammates, and explore AI-assisted development to enhance product value. This hybrid role is based in our Broomfield, CO office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack scope.
• Strong Ruby on Rails experience, including ActiveRecord and API design.
• Excellent JavaScript skills, SPA architecture, and front-end performance.
• Track record delivering complex features end-to-end.
• Strong RESTful API design with versioning and authentication.
• Solid relational database skills, especially MySQL.
• Mentors junior engineers and contributes to a culture of technical excellence.
• Familiarity with marketing or customer engagement platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: design and build robust Rails back-end and Vue.js front-end with end-to-end ownership.
• Technical Contribution: shape architecture and engineering patterns for platform initiatives.
• Mentorship: support growth of junior and mid-level engineers via code reviews and feedback.
• Performance & Quality: improve backend/frontend performance, testing, security, and observability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success to deliver measurable outcomes.
• AI-Augmented Development: utilize AI tools to accelerate delivery and product value.
• Agile Delivery: operate in an iterative, fast-paced environment with frequent shipping.
• Incident Response: participate in incident resolution and post-incident reviews.
