Draper in Tampa, FL is seeking a senior software engineer to lead architecture and deliver high‑impact web applications for government and commercial clients. You’ll guide a team, set engineering standards, and translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions using React+TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.

You’ll collaborate with program officers and product owners, drive roadmaps, mentor engineers, and optimize performance, security, and CI/CD practices in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full‑stack development experience with at least 2 years in architecture leadership.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade web applications at scale.
• Strong proficiency in React/TypeScript and Node.js (Express), plus Python/Java.
• Deep understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth/OIDC, and cloud‑native patterns.
• Experience with Jira, GitLab, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions for new and existing web platforms.
• Write production‑ready, test‑driven code in modern stacks.
• Mentor senior engineers and set engineering standards.
• Partner with program officers and product owners to define roadmaps.
• Represent the team in reviews and client demos.
• Drive performance tuning, security hardening, and operational excellence.
