Draper in St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking a senior software leader to drive architecture for mission-critical web platforms.

This hybrid role combines on-site collaboration (3 days) with remote work, shaping solutions used by government and industry partners. You will mentor engineers, define roadmaps, and deliver production-grade applications using React+TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, and cloud-native patterns.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of full‑stack development experience with at least 2 years leading architecture decisions.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade web apps at scale.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, CSS‑in‑JS and Node.js/Express, Python, Java.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions for new and existing web platforms (micro‑services, data pipelines, UI/UX).
• Write production‑ready, test‑driven code in modern stacks (React+TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL).
• Mentor senior engineers and set engineering standards (CI/CD, automated testing).
• Define roadmaps and delivery milestones with program officers and product owners.
• Represent the team in reviews, stakeholder meetings, and client demos.
• Drive performance tuning, security hardening, and operational excellence.
