Job summary

HonorVet Technologies in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Engineer to support daily operation of critical financial and accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness. You will act as the technical lead, partnering with Accounting, BI, and IT to design and document solutions.

The role requires five years of financial systems experience in professional services, with Elite 3E, Intapp Time, Emburse, Boomi, APIs, and SQL expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of financial or accounting systems experience in the legal industry.
• Proven experience with core financial software applications, such as Elite 3E, Intapp Time, and Emburse Enterprise.
• In-depth experience with Boomi integrations, APIs, SQL, and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, process mapping, and data mapping.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive administration, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the firm's financial management platforms as the technical lead.
• Oversee technical aspects and processes of implementing new systems related to Finance and Accounting.
• Develop, document, and execute validation plans, test scripts, and acceptance criteria for financial systems, upgrades, integrations, reports, and configuration changes.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and coordinate validation efforts with Finance, Accounting, and stakeholders.
• Ensure system changes meet business requirements and comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and business objectives.
• Document test results, defects, remediation activities, and final approvals for production deployment.
• Provide escalated technical support to users of financial applications.
