Job summary

Transamerica in Baltimore seeks a senior consolidation and corporate reporting professional to perform accounting, financial reporting, and analysis to support consolidated financials and process improvements.

You will coordinate with domestic and international teams, assist audits, and maintain reporting materials in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Hybrid work schedule with in-office on Tue/Wed/Thu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Eight years of experience with degree.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting/finance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review consolidation activities, financial reporting schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation in accordance with established reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with domestic and international finance teams to support timely, accurate, and complete reporting of financial information.
• Support accounting and reporting activities related to investments in subsidiaries and other legal entities through the preparation of analyses, reconciliations, consolidation adjustments, and elimination entries.
• Perform analyses of consolidated financial results and communicate key observations, trends, risks, and issues to management.
• Maintain reporting instructions, reporting documentation, and supporting process materials.
• Execute control activities supporting the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audit activities through preparation of documentation, analyses, and responses to inquiries.
