Job summary

AEVEX is seeking a Senior Manager - Cybersecurity in a hybrid Tampa, FL role with up to 20% travel. You will lead a team safeguarding enterprise IT, defense programs, and embedded systems, coordinating across cloud, on‑premise, and CI/CD environments.

You will drive security architecture, incident response, and governance, partnering with Engineering and program leaders to secure development pipelines and aircraft/mission platforms. Strong leadership and defense-sector experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Leads cybersecurity teams and secures enterprise IT and defense program environments.
• Experience with RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and DIB requirements is preferred.
• Strong hands-on technical background across cloud, endpoint, and infrastructure security.
• Proven ability to communicate risk and security posture to executives and program leadership.
• Experience securing development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and software supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity strategy and team development across cloud, infrastructure, and endpoint security.
• Oversee security across AWS/Azure and enterprise networks, including IAM, monitoring, and secure configuration.
• Direct threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering and program leads to embed security across development lifecycles.
• Maintain governance and compliance controls, including RMF and ITGCs, with audit readiness.
• Establish security metrics and enable effective risk-based decision making.
